my pineapple tarts
new year pineapple tarts for sale!
i love things to be round rather than oblong or whatever shape. thought that it looks more rounder. anyway new year baking has started and my first bake on the list are pineapple tarts! these little darlings were hand made from the stretch. from puree (mind u, i pureed the pineapples manually by using a chopping board and a knife!) the pineapples to the skin... its definitely one of the most 'fat burning' bakes!
taste wise? creamy and buttery! i love buttery pineapple tarts and it wouldnt bother me if the skin is sweet or salty. but anyway for my version the skin is slightly on the salty side. the pineapple fillings were cooked with a very little amount of sugar as i used those super sweet thai pineapples. these tarts are vegetarian as no eggs (not even the skin) or animal fats were used.
